Touring Europe pt2

While my dad took me driving today I was telling him about my and france_b 's idea to tour Europe. At first he said he had the same mental reaction as Jess' mom (laughing), but says that he doesn't like to be a dream-crusher so he kept it all inside and waited until I was finished talking to say anything. He says that if we're going to than we should keep our jobs (and by that I mean keep mine Jess get one) and we make our own money and we start college and between semesters, during the breaks, travel to places here in teh US just to see if we like the travel, how Jess and I live together, see if it still interests us, get us used to finding jobs and apartments quickly, etc. And that way we're still doing what we need to do (working, going to college), we're not being burdens on our famlies (by just packing up, leaving for a few years, then coming home pennyless and jobless), and we're more mature and better equipped to go to Europe. I have my own wants, but traveling is right up there as "first priority" and my dad doesn't want me to accidentally ruin my life by following along with Jess. We'll think about it more.

france_b and I want to go backpacking through Europe after highschool. I think it might be better to go after two years of college just so we have more education, but it's not a necessity. We're thinking of starting in England or do a practice run in Canada, since they're still English and we'll be able to learn French or something, and then going down to France, then Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Poland, the Baltics, Russia... I want to do it in an order like that since the languages sort of flow and they'll be easier to learn.

We want to just take the money we have and go, get a job in some small town until we have enough money to go to the next; stay in Youth Hostel... It's scary and new but it'll be so much fun. My mom and grandmother both wanted to travel and their lives didn't allow them to and probably will never let them. I don't want to be like that, I don't want my dreams crushed and live thrown upon me. I don't want to be over after college and then be screwed and tied down because of a job.

We only live one life and with me, I either want to live this sort of life or one where I'm upper class; and considering where America's going, I'd say this is not only the smarter choice, but the more likely to happen choice.

She just asked her mom what she thought about it, and she scoffed, but I know my parents won't like it but won't stop me. I'm fine with just picking things up and leaving, used to taking care of myself, but Jess, I hate to say, is very dependent. I know she'll be able to get over that though; she has the drive to get over it. I can cook and clean though, as long as we both work we'll be fine.

We're thinking maybe take our friend England with us too. He's a really big guy and he and I have talked about this before, so I know he wants to. It would help the chance of something bad happening to us (you know, two really thin, pretty, teenage girls running about).

Jess is looking up Passport information, traveling information, all that.
She's more thinking like, just literally backpacking through, while I'm thinking more stay for a month or more, earn a couple of bucks working as a waitress, really enjoy the country. Learn the language, see and do things.

We have another semester to think it over. Jess needs to get a job.

Okay, first, I complain.
So my mom makes dinner for the first time in months and I was REALLY looking forward to it, but I had to go to the movies before it was done, get sick from having nothing but popcorn in my belly, and then come home to find out my glutton brother ate it all. I'm still starving and sick, but I'm not going ot eat until I feel less disappointed and more willing to settle for the junk our house has to offer or cook somethign for my self. And by cook, I mean, throw something together because I'm fucking tired.

And now that that crap is out of the way: I FUCKING SAW 2012 AND IT WAS AWESOME.

Okay, so, first big fangasm of the film: half the cast was Russian. I kid you NOT. Real nice and stereotypical too: an ex boxer who's now the president, a hot super model girlfriend with a Paris Hilton dog thing ~~who was secretly cheating on him with their pilot~~, a dead fatty-wife, two spoiled brat twin sons. Epic.
He said "da" once in the entire film, I picked up on it, and nearly jizzed my pants. It was so fantastic and win and words do not describe how I swooned every time they talked.
They showed the G8 and I was able to pick up on the countries just by the flags ~~not that I didn't know who was in the G8 anyway.~~

So the entire movie just left me slack-jawed at it's amazing. I literally can not find the words to tell you how much you should see this movie.
I do, however, have the words to nit-pick it:

I found two, yes only two, things wrong with the film: 1. they told you HOW it was happening but not WHY it was happening (and for a 2012 buff such as myself, that was very important) and 2. after the irruption of all the volcanoes in the world the earth would be not only in nuclear winter, BUT the air would be toxic.

I call shenanegins on these things.

I was talking to one of the girls I went with after words (my friend Brian invited me and some people I didn't know to come along) and she said, to which I agreed, that they wasted an hour (did I mention it was 3 hours long?) just showing things explode and be destroyed and they could have used that time for plot and story. They should have explained more how the solar flares would shift the earth's magnetic field, would cause the plates to shift and volcanoes to erupt, and why the core boiled. These things i knew already and had to explain to her, but Hollywood should have done this instead.

france_b actually ships Gil and Boris as horrid little devil spawn BFFs (like Fred and George from Harry Potter or the Hitachiin brothers from Ouran), but I see it as being more accurate Gilbert would hate Boris for obvious reasons and Boris would hate/fear that since Gil's still alive HE might die, so he's always trying to kill him.

Hypocrisy at its finest, my friends. Oh how I loathe him; good qualities are not enough to keep this idiot afloat.
For those of you who don't know my mother or he fiance: my mom makes$80,000 dollars a year and works at the Loma Linda Children's Hospital; she's raised my brother and I mostly on her own since I was six; she went back to school and worked two jobs and crawled her way to the top; my step-dad makes not enough money a year, was in danger of loosing his house and had countless last-warning bills that needed to be payed when we moved in; he spends all his free time at his shop building off-road cars and other useless things and comes homes from work (usually) between1 and 2 in the afternoon where my mom gets home at 6:30 or 7 and works Saturdays without pay; my mom owns his truck and our fifth-wheel, toy-hauler, RV, thing.

Now then.
When we met Ernie he was a nice enough guy and we were all pretty okay. He has a four year old daughter (and a crazy ex-wife) but those are hardly anything. Things were okay but, like with all people, once you spend a lot of time with them they start to grate on your nerves. Ernie is the definition of this.

My first inkling that he was not the best of guys was that it took him three months to put shelves up in my room so I could get my very nice books out of a card board box where they'd been rained on several times (fortunately only one manga from a series I don't really like anymore was lost); they're very nice shelves though and they hold all my books (except for three but those are fairly big) plus some pictures of my old friends.

The next was that he did not dicipline his child. And she needs it. His idea of punishment was to take her away from my brother and me and cuddle her on the couch. It took nearly six months of my mom and me bitching for him to start making her do things (clean her room because I was done doing it [we share a room], pick up the messes she makes in the living room, putting her own laundry away, etc.) and putting her in time-out when she's being a brat (although I still don't like the way he treats her like his little angel so I've given up on her and I do it myself and it gets the job done because I make her sit for five minutes then make her tell me why she got in trouble and what she should have done instead or else she sits there longer).

The true final straw with me, and my biggest complaint, is that he is a fucking selfish, spoiled, hypocrite! As I said, he comes home at 1:30-ish, goes on the computer or plays Wii or watches TV (usually) and does nothing else. He expects my mom, or my brother, or myself to do all the laundry and put it away, clean the house, put groceries away, do the dishes, feed HIS dogs, and do the yard work (excpet for mowing the lawn because he loves to do that).

He can sit on his ass and yell at us (and oh how he yells at us) about us not doing OUR work while he has a peice of lined paper with Honey-Do chores on both the front and back that he hasn't done in a year and a half! I get home between 11:45 and 1pm (because france_b

takes me home because ~~I feed her~~ she loves me) and true I don't like to do my chores in the afternoon because I'm trying to hang out with my friend. I wait until after dinner to do the dishes because I'd rather do them all in one go than two small loads and I'd rather clean the bathroom and mop the kitchen on the weekends because everyone's cleaning then. And he bitches and moans because the kitchens a mess, which it is but when my brother and I came up with a doing-the-dishes schedule he and my mom said they were going to stay out of it because it was between the two of us.

I'll give you an example: My brother and I came home from my dad's one day two or so weeks ago and I went to survey the kitchen. I decided they needed to be done at the same time my brother came in and asked if I had done them last night and I told them I hadn't so that meant I had to do them that night and the next as punishment. Right as I was going to the restroom before starting, Ernie pulled me over and starts complaining that "Why didn't I do them last night?" "The kitchen's disgusting!" etc. etc. and said that from now-on if the dishes don't get done he's going to take away our cell phones. I asked if he had discussed this with my mother and he said he didn't need to that he was going to do it himself.

My mom pays for my AND his cell phones. My mom owns him and he has no legal ownership of me.

He asked if I was okay with this (not really asking but APALLED that I would even think he had to consult my mom when HE is the man of the house) so I told him flat-out "no" and went about my chore and pee-busyness.

Another example, you say? You don't fully understand his douche-baggyness? Okay!
Back in September we planned on going to a camp-sight for Halloween. It was going to be between Oct. 23-25, but my brother got a part in the school play and it's opening night was the 23rd! My mom and Ernie FOUGHT for weeks about it and we decided we'd go to opening night and leave the next day instead. Well the 23rd rolled around and my mom reminded him that morning, called him a half and hour before she got home, AND he and I mocked my Aunt (fearing she'd be at the family dinner before the play) for about ten minutes. My mom gets home and tells him to get ready and he bitches about "not knowing what she was talking about" for about a half hour.
So my mom and I leave to go to dinner without him. On the ten minute car ride to the restaurant he calls her twice and me once. So my mom finally picks up and he's bitching about "why we left" because, evidently, we can't go support my brother or go eat with our family if HE doesn't want to.
During dinner he called over and over again for fifteen minutes straight to yell at my mom before she finally turned off her phone.

My mom knows he's trash, a brat, he big-ass baby. Even my step-mom (who used to be friends with him) tells me all the time my mom could do WAY better than him. My mom wants to leave him but is too stressed and busy and "wants to make it work since he has so many good qualities" (the only of which she can name is "he'll give you the world...") and doesn't know what to do with his truck or the fifth wheel (even though I need a car and she hates hers [and I want it, can you imagine ME in a Mercedes Benz? what fun...]).
What stupid reasons not to leave such a prick...

magicgirl24gave me her extra copy of The Sims: H&M Fashion Stuff and I was all excited because I thought "Oh bitchin', Feliks and Liet can go SHOPPING~" only...

So I downloaded it and then went to play the game and -- god, I don't even know what happened. All my downloaded items were deleted, Feliks, Liet, Eduard, and Raivis (who all live together) were GONE, even Feliks' house was gone, and then I went to play Ivan (because I know a loop hole) and he had NO relationships and was in danger of dying and his only wants WERE to die and I was all "WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME FAITH?!"

So I'll spend the entire weekend trying to save Моя Любовь, but no promises...

Edit (11-15-09): Okay so I still have ch1-3 saved on my computer (because I'm OCD and backed those up like crazy) but, sadly, I was unable to save my game. All my item-downloads are gone (Sims will no longer read them, I guess) and half of my Sims-downloads (hair, clothes, etc.) are un-readable. Maybe they'll be recovered once I have internet on my dad's computer, but... Who knows.
So I had to uninstall then reinstall all my Sims games and I was just going to start over, but I got half way through re-making Eduard when I realized all my Hetalia-making Sims stuff was gone orz
So I'm unable to work on Моя Любовь simply because I don't have the things I need to re-make Ivan and Feliks' homes OR make Eduard and Raivis.

So I made Saltibarsciai tonight for dinner and it was so fail OTL
I'm usually a pretty good cook but two things went HORRIBLE wrong.
TWO KEY THINGS.

The first thing was that I used too much water. May we has amount needed plz?! In my house we use A LOT of water to cook beets so I was just like "lol really? Okay, The Internet!" and I used it all. That made the base too thin, wryyyyy (plus I didn't blend in the sour cream 'cause I wasn't thinking, I just stirred it real good)

The other thing was, even though I started at 6, it wasn't finished until 7:44 so everyone was bitching and I didn't have time to chill it so it turned out luke-warm FFFFFFF My brother popped his in the fridge (and probably won't eat it because he can't get over THE PINK of it).

Anywhozzle, so that was a fail. Hmm, maybe I won't do it again. Maybe I will now that I know what sucks about it. If I do I'll do it just for me...

Some Kaliningrad stuff!
The comic on the left is an overly-exaggerated scene from my and france_b's story. It takes place during the time when Germany controlled part of France (WWII), but Francis is so out-of-control and rebellious that Ludwig is starting to lose it. But when Ivan shows up to be all fake-buddy-buddies with Ludwig, the German gets jealous of how well-behaved Liet is so he and Ivan decided to send Francis to Ivan's for some training. So far it's just been a txt RP but we're working out the kinks and making a historically-accurate time-line so we can write it as prose.
Yes it's Russia/Lithuania and France/Lithuania. Part two is America/Lithuania; and there IS Kaliningrad.

My mom decided that two hours of computer per day are more than enough.

She thinks when my computer's gone I spend more time with the family and my friends, which is true, but does she really think it's because I want to? No. Even when I'm spending time with them I just sit and draw and txt. We don't really talk to each other, and when it's my friends we crowd around the TV or computer--for the most part ignoring each other.

She doesn't understand that I need the computer for my art. I need at least eight hours to do one picture and, yes, it's true I've been doing less coloring and more just sketching because I've had no time to just sit for hours and hours and hours on end. And when I'm not drawing I'm writing--I've got three role plays open and two ideas for stories I need to find time to write and I have to get my old hard-drive back so I can write my book--or I'm reading, helping others get better at it.
And you might think "Oh you can just read book-books!" No. I can't. They just suck so badly. I can spend two hours at Barnes and Noble and find maybe two decent looking books. On the computer I don't risk anything if I don't like a story, I just hit that left arrow and pick a different one. I could do the library, but most of those are really old books with very generic plots or simple-structures. For me to purchase a book it has to be soemthing like The Hitchhikers Guide. Now THAT is a book ~~series~~.

I figure what I'll do, when I get out of school at lunch, is I'll hop on the bus and go down to the coffee shop by Fox Theatre and brood. I don't have a computer at my dad's either and no one wants to spend time with me so what's the point in going there? I'll probably spend a lot of time down at the elementary school too. I wanted to go there tonight but right as I was sitting on my swing she called me and told me to come home and do the dishes.
God, I just. I fucking. It hurt, I need to swing, it's how I clear my head and keep reasonably sane. I have to be alone, I have to reflect. My parents just seem to be giving me one slap on the metaphorical face after another.

I can't really give any examples now because it's been my entire fucking life my dad's screwed me over and whenever my mom gets a new fiance she decides to be a huge UGH and I hate it.
Compared to a lot of kids--especially my step-siblings--I'm a good kid. I get good grades, I do my homework without being nagged, for the most part I do my chores without reminders, I do my own laundry AND my step-sister's without being asked, I clean my room without being told, the only reason I have them help me with anything is because I want some attention; ever since the third grade I've had to take care of myself and ever since the sixth I've known swinging for hours on end helps calm me down and re-bottle all my fucking ugh.

So here's how it J's: I have to be a good girl and do everything I'm supposed to, I'm supposed to do my monthly chores in order to get my TV and computer only whoops I'm going to change our deal so you DON'T REALLY get your computer because lol you have school and work and chores so therefore things that matter to you get cut by RULES instead of CIRCUMSTANCE.
Just like in school how the classes that matter to a child's SOUL, SELF-ESTEEM, AND SELF-IDENTITY get cut first.

The only reason my computer and I are so close is because it was all I had for two years. It and my art and god back then did I suck. Doing this to me is like telling her she can no longer drink. Telling my step-dad he can no longer watch UFC. Telling my dad he can no longer read. Telling my brother he can no longer cook or act.
She's not taking my computer away, she's taking my art--drawings and writings--away.

It hurts. I need it. I have mental-breakdowns and migraines when I can't be artsy.

My family went RV-ing down in San Diego this weekend and I dragged magicgirl24 with us 8D

I had a really bad migraine on Friday. Surprisingly this distracted me long enough to make me feel better 8D i♥u Liet.

2-5: Regular little kid; likes to dress up and explore; misses his mother; Aunt Belarus takes care of Russia
6-8: Likes to look for things about Liet around the house; helps Belarus take care of Russia
9-12: Finally meets Liet; tries to break up Alfred and Liet; takes care of Russia by himself when he's there
13-16: Helps Russia kidnap Liet and is happy when Russia rapes Liet, thinking they're back together
17-20: Tries to get Russia to re-invade Liet whenever he marches troops through Lithuania to get to Kaliningrad
25-ever: have you ever seen the show Black Cat? You know how crazy Creed is for Train? Yeah, Boris' like that for Liet

Ohai gaiz! Welcome to my journal, you should recognize it by now (hmm, I'm thinking of changing the colors...)

So, the reason you're all here:
I have two questions and I have a request:

Questions:
1. How much would you pay for a doujin by me? I'm thinking of having it be a front/back cover, a generic disclaimer page, ten pages of manga, and then 6 or so pages of extra. Be that random, never-before seen, doodle vomit or guests pages (I'm leaning towards both.)
I'm starting to lean towards 9-10 dollars: more? less?

2. How do you bind and print the pages? Do you go to Kinko's or something and they do it? Do I have to buy something special? What kind of paper? I bet I can find all this myself, but if you know...

Request:
I need at least four people to do a one-page, black-and-white guest-comic or a one-page, black-and-white guest-picture. Any takers? It doesn't have to be Photoshop'd, just make it neat. If you want I can adjust the levels (for if your scanner murders it).
